How to use it
- Choose a .docx file, or use the sample.
- Open Word file fills the screen with the document.
- Use Reading mode for a dark page, then leave full screen. Older .doc files need to be saved as .docx first.
Word files are awkward to open on a phone when you only need to read them. This viewer pulls the paragraphs out of the .docx and shows headings, bold, italic, and embedded pictures. Open Word file fills the screen with the document and a bar to switch Reading mode or leave full screen. Reading mode darkens that page only. It runs in the browser, so the document is not sent to SKY13.app.
Columns, text boxes, and the exact printed page breaks are not rebuilt. A designed brochure will read as a simpler document. If you need a PDF of the text, use Word to PDF after you have checked it here.
Questions
Why is the layout simpler than Word?
The reader keeps the writing and basic emphasis. It does not try to copy a full desktop layout that the browser cannot reproduce faithfully.
Can I open an old .doc file?
No. Save it as .docx in Word or another editor, then open that file.
