How to use it
- Choose a .docx file. Older .doc files are not supported.
- Create the PDF on this device.
- Read the PDF and confirm the paragraphs look right.
Word files are easy to edit and awkward to send when the other person should not change them. This tool reads the document text and writes it into pages with a standard font and comfortable margins.
Pictures, text boxes, tracked changes, and fancy styles are not reproduced. Characters outside Western European text are simplified, and the page tells you when that happens. If the document depends on layout, export PDF from Word itself and use SKY13.app for the later PDF tasks.
Questions
Why was my .doc rejected?
The old binary Word format is different from .docx. Save as .docx in Word or Google Docs, then convert that file.
Will my fonts match?
The PDF uses a built-in font so the file opens everywhere. It will not match a custom Word font.
