How to use it

  1. Type in a cell, open an .xlsx file, or use the sample.
  2. Start a formula with =. Math, statistics, text, dates, lookup, logic, finance, and engineering functions on this page calculate in the sheet.
  3. Use the toolbar for formatting, merge, filter, AutoSum, find and replace, and a bar or line chart.

Click a cell and type, or edit the same value in the formula bar. The grid holds text, numbers, dates, and formulas. A1 and ranges such as A1:A10 update when you fill down. Math and statistics include SUM, AVERAGE, STDEV.S, and NORM.S.INV. Text includes TEXTJOIN, LEFT, and MID. Dates include EDATE, NETWORKDAYS, and WORKDAY. Lookup includes XLOOKUP, INDEX, MATCH, FILTER, SORT, and UNIQUE. Logic includes IF and IFS. Finance includes PMT, NPV, and IRR. Engineering includes CONVERT. Add sheets, insert or delete rows and columns, resize a column, freeze the header, sort, and format numbers, currency, percent, or dates.

The ribbon follows Excel’s Home, Insert, Formulas, Data, Review, and View tabs. Home covers the clipboard, font, alignment, number formats, cells, AutoSum, fill, sort, find, and replace. Insert covers a bar or line chart, a link, and sheets. Formulas lists every function this sheet calculates and starts it in the cell. Data covers sort, filter, remove duplicates, and text to columns. Filter adds a menu on every column: sort the rows under the header, or tick the values to keep. Review adds a cell note. View covers full screen, gridlines, freeze, and zoom. Open and save use .xlsx. The grid adds rows and columns as you move or scroll, up to 5,000 rows and 100 columns. Dynamic arrays such as SEQUENCE spill into empty cells beside the formula. Pivot tables, Power Query, macros, Solver, and cube, stock, or web functions stay in desktop Excel.

Questions

Do the formulas follow Excel?

Math, statistics, text, dates, lookup, logic, finance, and engineering functions on this page follow Excel’s usual results for cell references, ranges, and criteria such as ">10". A function that is not listed shows #NAME?. A circular reference shows #CYCLE!. A dynamic array that cannot fit shows #SPILL!.

Does the workbook get uploaded?

No. The sheet is calculated in this tab and the download stays on your device.
