PDF to Excel

Send the words from a PDF into rows and columns of a spreadsheet.

Turn on JavaScript to use this tool. After the page loads, the file is processed in your browser and is not uploaded.

How to use it

  1. Choose a PDF with real text, ideally a simple table.
  2. Create the workbook on this device.
  3. Open it and tidy any columns that sat too close together.

Invoices and price lists are painful to retype. This tool groups words that sit on the same line, then splits large gaps into separate cells. Each page follows the previous one, with a blank row between pages.

It is not a full table recognizer. Decorative lines, merged cells, and multi-line headings can land in the wrong column. Scanned pages need OCR first, and even then you should review the sheet. The goal is a head start, not a silent perfect import.

Questions

Why did two columns join?

If the gap between words is small, they stay in one cell. Widen the source layout or split the cell in Excel.

Does it upload the workbook?

No. The .xlsx is built in the browser and downloaded by you.
