Edit PDF

Edit the page where it is. A longer line overlaps. A shorter line leaves a gap. Nothing is uploaded.

How to use it

  1. Choose the PDF and open the editor.
  2. Use Text to change a line or add one. Image, highlight, cover, and shape sit in the same bar.
  3. Download the PDF. Cover only hides a spot. Use Redact when the hidden letters must be gone.

Text has two actions. Click a blank part of the page to add a line, or click one existing piece of text to change those words. That piece keeps its font, bold, italic, size, and color. Typing, Backspace, and Space change only that piece. The other text stays as it was. Bold, italic, size, and color change when you use the toolbar. Background sets the color behind the words, so a colored page does not turn white. Open editor fills the screen with the toolbar and the page. Find and replace uses the same text. The rest of the page stays where it is.

A scan has no clickable words until text recognition has run. Cover hides a spot on screen. Removing that content for good stays the separate Redact tool. Changed words are painted over the old ones, so a search can still find the old letters until you redact. The built-in font covers Western European characters. Other characters are simplified so the file still opens.

Questions

Does a longer sentence push the next line down?

No. The page does not reflow. A longer sentence overlaps what is beside it. A shorter one leaves a space.

Does cover delete the words underneath?

No. Cover hides them. Redact is the tool that removes the covered content.
